I'm going to start calling this mapleturfing. Fuck US goods pretending to be Canadian.
Campbells' soup sold in Canada now has a maple leaf on the label. Their website has had a maple leaf next to their logo since October 2023.
Campbell's has not had Canadian manufacturing since 2018 when they shut down their last Canadian plant.

  In again, another example of corporate enshittification: Campbell's Soup, which isn't Canadian and is not produced in Canada has put maple leaf symbols on their marketing. SPECIFICALLY to confuse consumers. The maple leaf is not a protected symbol, they just...decided to add it. Edited for clarity and updated information! #canada #BuyCanadian
