The issue isn't even just that 4/5 of Harvard medical doctors can't answer a basic statistical question right, it's that 4/5 of Harvard doctors can't answer a basic statistical question *that directly impacts their core professional day-to-day patient care responsibilities* anywhere close to accurately.

@sj I wonder if instead the study had asked: "What is the positive predictive value of this test?" or even "How accurately does this test predict the existence of the thing being tested?" - would the results have been more accurate?
