Sorry for dumb question, but how do I actually start Skyrim? I just get this launcher window up, and none of the buttons there work.

I'm most interested in playing it with mods but it'd be good to see it working vanilla too.

    Boosts welcome :sharkey_boost:

@starlight@mk.absturztau.be open the game options in steam, change the compatibility to be "Force the use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool" and set it to use "Proton Experimental"

i also suggest installing Skyrim Script Extender now before you get started playing and get an itching for mods. this provides an alternate way to launch the game. https://store.steampowered.com/app/365720/Skyrim_Script_Extender_SKSE/

Skyrim Script Extender (SKSE) on Steam
The Skyrim Script Extender (SKSE) is a tool used by many Skyrim mods that expands scripting capabilities and adds additional functionality to the game.
