tl;dr ➡️ The game gets a seriously reduced install size for Steam Deck users, cutting it from 144GB down to 88GB. The game simply doesn't need 4K textures and QHD cutscene videos on a device like the Deck.
BONUS: I verified that Bazzite users on handhelds like the Legion Go S also get the reduced size.

@killyourfm I am glad to hear that it also worked for Bazzite.
Besides the space saving, is the performance any better at all or is it the same because it wasn't using the high textures anyways and they didn't optimize it more than cutting out textures?

@TeamLinux01 Good question! I haven't had a chance to test out performance again, but I suspect performance isn't going to change. I AM curious though, just too much going on to devote time to it at the moment.

@killyourfm Very understandable. I will take saving space on a device with storage constraints, like these handhelds.
I haven't gotten the game yet, but when I do, I hope it plays better or I have a #framework desktop when I do get it.
It is also going to be a while before I order the desktop, need to save money right now. At least I can enjoy watching others test it out and run Bazzite.
