used kagi for a week and it's just.. okay? the search results are not worse than google but also don't feel significantly better, I do however miss google widgets that pop up on certain searches like maps, translate, pronunciation, flights

@rin I switched after quality of results of google dropped dramatically. For me, Kagi was close to Google pre-decline. not better just not worse.

@vaartis @rin one feature i've started using a lot is adding a question mark to a ... question... so that i get the quick ai answer. it's especially useful for stuff like 'how do i transcode this to mono and set the bitrate to perfect for podcasts with ffmpeg'

@rin you might want look into ! bangs or whatever their name is. Kagi has some widgets but usually if you want maps you do the DDG thing of "!maps place" or "!tr translation". I think it's only "better" if
1. You were using DDG or other "privacy oriented" search engine before
2. You are looking for something very specific a lot, because google is ass at finding very specific things with specific words and ok at finding generic things worded like a sentence
