St Fridolin of Säckingen, patron saint against animal diseases, watch over all those afflicted. The people eating bats, the people living with livestock. The ones afflicted by bird flu. Let us find cures, vaccines, ways to deal well.

And all the animals themselves, too, exploited, living in too-cramped conditions making diseases a certainty - bless them, and let their handlers see better ways.
