   With the AP reporting that Musk and Trump want to cut 80000 jobs from the Department of Veteran Affairs, it is worth asking what plausible theory other than outright nihilism can be offered to justify this action.

   I think the answer lies in what Musk did at Tesla. The automaker once offered caring, concierge like service to owners. Musk managed to convince himself it was OK to replace that by phone trees to nowhere and AI chat bots, meaning in effect there is NO customer service now. 1/2

     @Drdind What are you talking about? Our civil service works fantastic. The reason that you don’t know that is because it runs like a well oiled machine, so unless you have proof of your comment on how it runs, which I would like to hear about any personal bad experience you’ve had, then stop it already. It’s a disservice every Civil Servant who works their ass off everyday to support Americans needs and wants.

     I certainly don't mean to suggest that overall government service we have now is as good as Tesla's once was, but it is far better than the utter destructive vision being offered by Musk and D.O.G.E.
