     Yeah I could definitely see that. I think there was also some hurt ego in there too, which isn't unreasonable. He basically had everything from the center to the far left constantly hating him regardless of what he did or didn't do. He isn't wrong. He could say they found a cure for cancer and it's going to be free and they would still seethe.

     @Wolffkran that's pretty much what he seems to realize. He's saying he can't find compromise with them, and that's an extremely dangerous thing for them - because it means their "go as extreme as you can to push the compromise more to your side" turns into a self-bleeding tactic
