   It's beginning to seem like there's only one way for this to end: Trump will order the military to fire on protestors, and we get to see if they're willing to obey. And if there's a military coup, it's not clear to me what the Republican congress does after that

   Anyone want to suggest some books or articles that flesh this out?

   [Also, why is he still even bothering to post on TS? Hasn't he been back on the hellsite for quite some time?]

     Kent State was 1970. I point this out only because people have this weird idea that the Kent State shootings woke people up and changed everything

     Lol, here's the 1972 electoral map. Kent State didn't put a dent in Nixon's popularity. Quite the opposite, he even won Ohio with 60% of the vote

     Reminds that Abbott beat O'Rourke 57-41 in Uvalde *after* the school massacre even though Beto went to the funerals and Abbott tried to bury evidence

     This country loves its guns and its violence

     @kims the Guard was willing to fire on Kent State students in 1968. I don’t see things ending well with either action today, and it’s terrifying.
