     @puniko It's not email, it's crazy abuse lists and filtering. I remember back in the day being denied to go through the email input when registering because the email I had at the time wasn't a popular global provider, but a local .pl domain. It almost feels like some companies out there have this weird gmail or die attitude.

     @hiker@akk.fedcast.ch @jeder@miau.jeder.pl @tofu@is-a.cat i mean more the convoluted mess it has become by all the stuff that got added on top of it. like multipart content alone is already a huge mess. html in body is a huge mess. interop between servers is more like a guessing game for the more advanced features (like + alias is still not supported by some mail servers for some weird reason)
