Were there any dumb terminals that allowed you to download things via say xmodem to a storage media, like a floppy?

Don't think so. Not actual serial terminals. There's not much they could do other than capture or interpret the serial stream that they're rendering.

@tomjennings Yeah, I didn't think so either. The first thing I downloaded from the internet was over a dos terminal emulator. I had a grex account and lynx could save things. Back then sx/rx was around on unix to transfer things to your terminal. I always thought it would cool to have a terminal dedicated to doing that.
