   Ok, so, there's OMEMO 1 and OMEMO 2. Kaidan, the KDE app supports OMEMO 2, and Conversations supports OMEMO 1. That's why Conversations doesn't see Kaidan, and Kaidan can't see Conversations.
   
   This is very intuitive!
