   Mastodon has a serious spam problem which challenges my use of this platform.

   Every day a person is creating new spam accounts to pollute the replies to my posts with Kremlin propaganda. Then when I block these accounts, the person creates new accounts and continues.

   It is 13:00 and I have taken down 4 accounts already, and now more will be created.

   @Gargron @renchap it is a pattern:
   1. Random account created
   2. Hits follow on my account
   3. Replies with propaganda
   4. Is blocked.
   5. GOTO 1

     @randahl @renchap You can filter out notifications from accounts created less than 30 days ago. Check the gear menu on the notifications page in the web app or official mobile apps.

     @Gargron thank you. I have now set it to "filter".

     I really wish, Mastodon took advantage of their pattern of following the same political accounts, because I do not think this is normal behavior.

     I reckon, normal accounts discover accounts to follow organically. But this spammer creates his account, then immediately hits follow on my account and a few others.

     This will not work in the long run. They will create "farms" of accounts, foster them for 30 days, and then start the spam attack.
     Easy to automate.
