I honestly don't get why there's this false sense of security on fedi tbh. The Fediverse is a public network. If you don't like that then use an IM service. There's a bunch of good privacy-oriented IM services.

every time I see drama over some scraper going haywire on the fediverse or something like GoToSocial trying to block FediDB or Lemmy trying to hide federated updoots I'm here thinking... you do realise how the Fediverse works, right?
