   Anyone have a recommendation for a good YA fantasy audio drama / podcast?

   (To be clear, I mean a podcast that •is• fantasy fiction, not •about• fantasy.)

     @inthehands Sean McGuire's Wayward Children series is technically YA I think and the narrators are good (though I've only heard maybe the first 4 or 5?).

     Do you want YA specifically with its focus on teen protagonists or just "not heavy on the sex and/or violence"?

     Good call! I listened to the BBC Hitchhiker’s Guide on cassette tape with my mom while we were stuck in an absolutely •epic• traffic jam coming into Philadelphia sometime in the early 90s. We probably would have cracked if it weren’t for that show!

     @inthehands So I started to re-listen to the lady astronaut series and I forgot that there sort of is a sex scene? Or at least it's mentioned at the very start of the novel? Not at all explicit, mostly there to set the tone that the protagonist is on vacation with her new husband, but it exists.

     Our prospective listener is at an age where the existence of sex is no concern, but hearing it mentioned might get an eye roll

     @inthehands I found Ursula K. Vernon's Harriet the Invincible (Hamster Princess #1) delightful, but that's middle grade and they might find that insulting if they are already reading "adult" books (I know I did, and then went back to read all of the cool stuff I missed in my late 20s).

     For adult but appropriate (there are themes of sexism & some racism, so maybe a conversation starter) Mary Robinette Kowal's Lady Astronaut Series is brilliant on audio (she's a professional narrator and does it herself).
