     @sampo why is he still dressing like a bum? I could understand it when he's in ukraine but dressing like that for alleged peace deal negotiations is just disrespectful.

     @feld @takao I guess there are military-style outfits that are a bit more "formal" than this. dressing up is for normalfags though, comfort is my only concern at all times

     I think criticizing the choice of clothes here is just a petty excuse to dismiss him

     @feld @sampo wearing formal wear for diplomatic events is a tradition from way before US existed, this was always about both showing respect to everyone else and not allowing yourself to be looked down upon. It used to be formal court wear in the past, then a peculiar style of clothing specifically used for diplomacy, military uniforms before finally settling on suits and other formal wear. Dressing like a bum weakens his position and only serves as a PR move to look good on photos - and you can be sure this level of self-serving chafes anyone who talks to him.
