     This is the thing I will always wonder about JKR. She could have been the most beloved children’s novelist in history if she’d just kept her mouth shut. Now “bigot” will be permanently etched on gravestone — proverbially, not literally, but plain for all to see nonetheless.

     @inthehands @dansup She got love-bombed by TERF activists in the UK and went down the rabbit hole with them. The UK as a whole is very transphobic these days, and how that happened could fill a book (and has, I believe).

     Yup. And it’s so sad. I don’t think she has any clue how much historical disgust she’s queued up for herself.

     Speaking of Samuel Alito, Adam Serwer wrote of “the entitlement that flows from having no one around you who can tell you what you sound like.” I suspect that applies to JKR too.
