   While we’re having to remind people that Russia invaded Ukraine and not the other way around, let’s also remain clear-eyed about the motives.

   The idea that Ukraine and NATO “goaded” Russia into invading is the international diplomacy equivalent of “But just look at what she was wearing!”

     @OpenComputeDesign If Russia invaded Ukraine over the threat of Ukraine doing something that would make Ukraine nigh impossible to invade, what we have learned very specifically is that Russia wanted to invade Ukraine.

     @maxleibman Arguably it's more ukraine going "I'm gonna join the thing that was created _specifically_ to be antagonistic towards you even though you told me you'd fight me if I did"
