   Most Democratic politicians at the federal and State level today are indistinguishable from Republicans in the ‘70s & ‘80s.
   They are not centrists. They’re center right and mostly very wealthy. I would be hard pressed to name a centrist Democrat let alone a left-leaning one.

   Don’t even get me started on political affiliation of city and county politicians.

     @severud recently in the US we exchanged millionaire rule for billionaire rule, shifting from oligarchy to plutocracy. The millionaire class is much more diverse and often much smarter than the billionaire class.
