   I've gotten to know half a dozen people at USDS and I visited the offices a few years ago. Everyone I met there was the kindest, coolest kind of person you'd find in tech, and they were all there to do great work on what are usually terrible government websites. They were usually people that worked in startups and wanted to do something more meaningful with their talents.

   The free COVID tests you got from USPS that all fit on a single-page form? That was USDS.

     I woke up to many people posting this but it's wrong.

     These are USDS staffers hired before Trump arrived back in DC. They are highly principled experts building digital systems to help people. They quit rather than work on DOGE bullshit coup things. They were never part of DOGE.

     This isn't a "win" for people who dislike what DOGE is doing. These aren't DOGE workers who suddenly grew a conscience, they are good people who didn't want any part of doing terrible work under Elon Musk or Trump
