Shufei“Speaking as a Foo” is reductionistic abuse of one’s person. Identity is a tropification of the complexity of the inner world which truly constitutes a person. Ascription may have true bases; catagorical sets exist. But to make a cult of that is just like McDonald’s is to food: a crude simulacrum of personhood vacuous of meaning.
