     @angusm @cstross The wishful thinking part is that there's suddenly evidence, or that this KGB guy has sufficient knowledge to present any consistent facts that give credit to the claim rather than painting it as a sloppy conspiracy theory.

     Everyone already knows the basic claim is true - his supporters included, and they're happy about it.
