This ironic picture perfectly illustrates the old axiom of #Soviet propaganda. In 1980’s when talking about arms race, the Soviets always portrayed the US rockets placed in Germany as “imperialist, offensive, aggressive” while Soviet rockets placed in Eastern Bloc were always “peaceful”. That was a total reversal of the actual situation, because the Soviet doctrine assumed that their nuclear missiles barrage will destroy all #NATO defenses as part of Soviet offensive, and the burned ground was expected to be crossed by thousands of light but radiation-protected BMP transporters with infrantry.

It’s quite a shame this old Soviet narrative is now being revived by… declaratively anticommunist MAGA.
