nonfree firmware dependencies keep on being added underneath but nobody cares if they're written in C or Rust or whatever, or that they're nonfree no questions asked for lower-level bits with higher corruption potential the hypocrisy is palpable
@lxo I'd like to note that the dependencies lack any kind of firmness and are rather nonfree peripheral software.
People have been taught that "firmware is something different to software" and you can avoid that entire issue by not hesitating to call software, software, mentioning that it happens to run on a peripheral device as needed.
