@bodhipaksa I'm not sure if the GOP is afraid of violence necessarily.

Trump keeps that violence focused on other people but it's not clear if the GOP only fears him or if they're fully on board with the project. I think they serve the same masters as he does and aren't likely to balk at a change of figurehead.

It's all Kremlinology 2.0 though.
