As somebody who isn't a coder, I cannot thank @dansup enough for taking the time to listen and work with me on a "akismet for the fediverse" concept today.

I wrote a short pitch for "FediThreat: Federated Threat Intelligence Service - IP/Email/URL reputation service"

and Dan has completed a POC. This concept has been in my head for 7 years but I just didn't have the ability to code it.... So this is something I'm looking forward to maintaining once it's online operationally to try and help our mods from dealing with spam.....

This isn't an original idea so I'd love feedback on any prior art or any written history around this concept...
