@encthenet not advocating violence but a few more CEOs being popped would definitely change the dynamics. Companies would stop relying on them so much and move their duties to the board because its too risky to have a single person whose sudden departure can tank the company stock -

Another classic line is that someone needs to "take responsibility for the decisions". If this was true, there'd be a lot more unemployed CEOs, but as a general rule, even if a CEO runs a company into the ground, they can still find another company to do it again.
