   Yeah, so, yesterday I wrote a whole-ass VT100 emulator from scratch. I had my reasons.

   It's way more complicated than it has any right to be.

     Any deterministic computer (or network of computers, even global) with non-infinite memory is logically a DFA. So…you know, QED.

     I find state machines soothing. If the thing you're writing isn't a state machine, it might be evil.
