   Obviously my biggest fear of Elon's DOGE is that they're using all this access and power to intentionally loot and extort the government to destroy political opposition and enrich the wealthy. But second fear is that they basically have no overarching goal or strategy beyond carelessly hunting down and stopping payment, deleting and firing anything and everything that "looks bad" without giving a shit about how many people and departments and programs are destroyed in the process.

   Like I'm kinda uncertain whether malice or willfully ignorant incompetence is worse. Though likely the real story is they're both.

     @JessTheUnstill if they can throw a big enough wrench in the gears some of these programs/agencies may never be recoverable even if the Supreme Court rules that they gotta undo their mess
