     I realize that’s 9 over a large denominator.

     I also realize that some of the items in the quoted thread are small aricraft and not commercial flights.

     Those quibbles notwithstanding, I am switching to “avoid all air travel” mode. This is bad and is not going to get better anytime soon.

     small private planes crashing is just business as usual

     BUT

     two legacy commercial flights failed immediately after the FAA was given the message that heads are going to roll, safety is no longer important to US gov't, & safety related jobs are no longer respected or secure

     IMHO the attack on employee morale & the understaffed towers was clearly a direct cause of AA 5342

     suspect but don't know sloppy maintenance/low morale played a part in the Delta "rollover"
