At the same time that i always wanted to buy Girl Scouts cookies, i find it extremely weird that the conclusion the group came to get money was “let’s make our kids sell things”

@authen they have targets and go to talk with strangers to sell them, there are online stores (i dunno how much these are in control of each scout)
it is basically a job, i suppose they don’t even keep the money too

@agatha @authen actually, from the girl scout side of it, my experience was "it's supposed to teach goal setting and money skills" and the troop actually does get a percentage of the sales (not intended to "well actually" so much as "I was in girl scouts for about 11 years so here's my experience")
