@gyptazy @stefano I have 5G from Calyx in USA with unlimited data, no throttling. I regularly pull 500mbit download from it. I have done 9TB in a month before as well. If I had a better antenna I could get closer to 1gig symmetrical. My upload right now is closer to 150mbit. I use it as a failover for my current internet service and also have special rules so certain tasks split across both internet connections to maximize bandwidth. -

5G must not be bad - I use it as a replacement for the landline. Even Fiber is available here, Unlimited 5G (1Gbps down, 100-150Mbit up) in Germany is cheaper for me. Even several servers are running here behind a WireGuard VPN. Latency is around 10ms (better than several FTC or (V)DSL connections).

Tired of the constant changes to phone plans, I’ve just activated a new SIM with 300 GB of monthly data (including 5G). A few years ago, Iliad had coverage that was completely inadequate for my needs, but it seems things have improved significantly.
In the next few days, I’ll test it on my Pixel 7 (still running GrapheneOS) and we’ll see how it goes. This could solve a lot of my problems.
