   @mathowie you can’t upgrade to a Google workspace or Microsoft 365 account for your biz without being blasted by some AI upsell. I sat with nontechnical friends trying to just get business email, and they were so confused.

   Extremely poor product market fit that also makes people drop out of the process.

     Opening a new Google account, you get blasted with Gemini AI bullshit upsells at every click. I've had a Gmail account since 2004, so I had no idea what the first day experience was like, but it's "let AI write your emails" and "shouldn't you be using AI to finish this sentence?" all the time.
