X/Twitter time and time again proves itself to be an unfree platform, and a dangerous place to seek privacy and security advice.
Decentralized platforms like Mastodon are the most obvious path forward to avoid censorship and preserve free access to knowledge. Despite this, many continue to rely on Twitter as their exclusive means to stay up to date on the latest trends both in privacy/security and the wider world.
Due to this censorship, these folks will have increasingly large blind spots in their personal knowledge. How do we finally convince people to protect themselves against this ever-growing threat?
