   i've taken to carrying not one, but two, fold flat lamps with me when i travel to the PNW because I NEED MORE LIGHT

   (i grew up 1 deg north of the equator and i already complain that california is not bright enough)

     i have a friend from a similar part of the world as me who went to a place that is 20h dark in the winter, and they got severely depressed and maybe hasn't recovered. two years ago!

     this is why i don't do that!

     @skinnylatte Part of my choice of Tucson for graduate school after 11 years in Seattle was shaped by "more sunlight!". Yet here I am again, because we couldn't afford a house in the SFBay.
