   @Em0nM4stodon I've been here for almost 2 years and have been trying to get people to move here.

   However, discoverability here is absolutely abysmal and every time someone tries to build discovery tools, they get harassed and threatened to shut their projects down or make them basically unusable towards the original goal.

   It started with BridgyFed getting forced to be opt-in, basically killing the usability of the bridge. Want someone to bridge that isn't bridged yet? Good luck!

   Then there was also FediOnFire which was just an aggregated public timeline (which every instance has a public timeline) that was forced to shut down after ridicule from unknowledgeable people on how Fedi works.

   More recently Fedicate was a completely manual Fediverse enforcement site to endorse interesting instances and users so others can find easily. Now it's just yet another Fediverse information site after the trans Developer was threatened.

   Because of this, I've went back to corporate social media cause some people on Fedi don't want it to be a usable alternative. They want it to be niche and only usable by the people that's already here.

   Fediverse won't be a viable alternative to corporate social media until it can start ignoring the bad actors trying to pigeonhole Fedi into this niche space.

     If you are staying on a corporate
     social media platform because the people you follow are still there, consider others are also staying there because you are still there.

     Someone needs to start the move.
     Be that person.

     Leave X for good.
     Leave Facebook forever.
     Remember blue skies eventually turn grey.
