The US and Europe at least share the goal that european investments in defense need to increase. Those investments must be in european industry and weapons , NOT in US weapon systems, otherwise we never scale back on dependence from the USA. If we do that we can have our own credible military force in 5-10 years. Ukraine can play an important role in this, with their experience in war.
