Bizarre that Windows Central says to flat out avoid playing Avowed on Steam Deck. In my experience it's running smoothly with no crashes. It doesn't look fantastic, but it's decent and rarely dips below 30fps if your graphics settings are configured properly.
@pak0st Well, you do have a point... I just watched a YouTuber whose whole theme is "is this game playable on Steam Deck" play for 20 minutes with ray tracing on (he never turned it off) and declared that it's not playable for most people without some kind of performance patch.
Now, is this HIS fault? Yes and no. HE should know better given his focus. But most people shouldn't have to worry about it. On Steam Deck, the default settings shouldn't be "Epic" with Ray Tracing on...
