     putin cannot allow this war to end. at least not on terms Zog and europe is willing to give at this point.
     
     this is more a civil war than some kind of colonial conquest. ukrainian opposition must be defeated to the point of absolute exhaustion or this wound will fester for centuries.
     
     consolidation of ukraine back into the russia proper must happen, territory must be taken and held with blood, lest something like 2014 happens again.
     
     stock markets melt up on "good news" has to be stopped. because such a thin victory benefits the few not all.
