@fkamiah17 I have my reservations about such slogans too. Presidents are selected as powerful individual figures who then choose the people around them. The what, 25%(?) of the American population that actually bothered to vote Trump therefore did make that choice, ill-informed or otherwise. As for those who didn't vote at all (from the choices of capitalism, climate collapse, genocide, and death on one hand...or even more of those on the other), who can blame them? I wouldn't endorse one of those two odious candidates either. In fact, I think part of the problem is people still expending so much energy, time, and resources on GOTV drives only for Bernies and Corbyns to be sabotaged, when we could (and should) be busy instead de-legitimising that whole rigged system, and creating mutual aid, direct democracies, and alternatives beyond the hierarchical might of the state.
@MediaActivist "Nobody Elected Musk"?!? I mean, it's technically true, but 47 *said* what he was going to do for months before the election, so anyone who voted for him - or didn't vote at all - *did* appoint Space Karen, indirectly. People need to start taking responsibility for their (lack of) action.
@fkamiah17 that's a disappointingly bad take, given the fact the democrats had a campaign to the right of both Bushes. Many people didn't vote democrat for very good reasons. The fact the democrats thought they could get away with it was the amount of 'vote blue no matter who' takes that made them think it was a great idea to blackmail those who, in a better reality, would have been their base. @MediaActivist
