   Suing their own customers if they talk about a bad experience (or a fatal crash) is a SLAPP offense in those parts that have such laws.

     @sonic81 @cstross A good reason not to buy them either if you think that. Or not to buy any new vehicle that comes with a contract with the manufacturer, that you don't actually own outright, rather than something used.

     But in the immediate, Tesla is the threat to the fools who otherwise refuse to look at this problem and who insist on buying new/status-symbol cars. As well as being the one whose image and stock price affect the chief nazi coup asshat. So keep the stories that scare the folks away from Teslas coming.

     @cstross I frankly see no reason why Mercedes or BMW would not do the same, given the chance. So while I absolutely agree that no-one should buy tesla and everyone should Set their own tesla on fire, I suspect that the World is unhinged enough for us to expect more of this.
