Conversation

Sure I'm a feminist and I actually take most adulting decisions by myself.
But I am not above saying things like:
"I'll discuss it with my partner; he understands more of these things than I do"
in order to buy myself time.

I simply don't want to agree to the quote of a handyperson on the spot.
And I won't sign the contract for a new insurance within 48 hours, because I have a second appointment with a different insurance company and want to see their competing offer first.
