Trying to convince people on other platforms to bridge to Fedi is worse than pulling teeth.😩🤦♂️
BridgyFed is pretty much a failure in my opinion.

@mat if they already bridge. If they don't, good luck.🤦♂️
@BeAware it’s only good for accounts that post without replying
I hate to say it, but you are right. No one I tried to even think of doing so did it. Same with Threads Federation. Couldn't get them to just flip a switch.
At least with X I could understand. Federation isn't an option, so you are trying to convince them to move completely to a different thing entirely. And with the Gatekeepers around here they might not enjoy it anyways.
But Threads and Bluesky have the option, it just requires a little bit of effort.
@BeAware@social.beaware.live Bridgy Fed was supposed to be opt-out, that's how it was supposed to work. (But the Mastodon Taliban decided differently)
Being opt-in m, it just can't be widely adopted.
Now, hope resides in the fact that it has an official structure, and I don't know how reliable this is, but they could be in talks to become opt-out on Bluesky's side.
@DavidBHimself HIGHLY doubt that's happening.
I have resorted to making new accounts because this place fucking sucks for someone who wants a half-ass normal experience.
