   So why bridge at all? Because right now, like it or not, Bluesky is the largest network not owned by a literal mask-off Nazi, and that means a lot of the news about what's going on right now in the US has been disseminated via Bluesky.

   Similarly, I want my writing to succeed and to be seen.

   I have zero interest in using a Bluesky account, but perhaps bridging my actual account is a nice compromise?

     I just set up this account to bridge over to Bluesky as https://bsky.app/profile/xgranade.com. I have my immense concerns with Bluesky, and deeply wish that a decentralized network like the fediverse will eventually succeed instead of a centralized network like Bluesky. Moreover, the fact that the moderation team decided to intervene on behalf of a virulent and extreme transphobe shows that Bluesky will likely never be safe for someone like me.
