   How do you keep from lashing out at people for stupid, nonpolitical reasons when you're so stressed and angry? To be honest I;m often hotheaded, but most people will never know it because I usually have enough control to keep it in, or find a calmer more gentle way of expressing myself. But my control just about disappeared today, and all the anger and frustration I've been feeling just caught up with me.

     @Mendi_Tech Lol, a lot of people complain about their federated timelines, but mine's much more fun than my home timeline! Anyway, Mastodon used to have a reputation for being the relaxed, easy-going, bright place, and I still try to keep it that way.

     @Fragglemuppet This is exactly why I created a second account where I only follow those who don't post endlessly about politics, and I only view that one from noon to 11 each day. The rest of the time, I'm on the other one. I know that doesn't work for everyone, but it was my solution, because I can't live in the vortex of politics all day every day.

     @Fragglemuppet I don't have a federated timeline necessarily, but yes, I do scroll the one of my server now and then. And yes, things have gotten much more intense lately, thus the reason for another account.

I'm just limiting the people on there, as my other timelines are just too chalk full of madness. that one is full of only music news, music itself, and of course conversation.

     @Mendi_Tech And now most of my fanfiction feeds I set up in Tweesecake are working right, which is just one of the problems I've had today. I just deleted and readded them all yesterday. I hope I don't have to do it again! There are a lot.

     @Fragglemuppet Nice! I tried to find music related servers, but I gave it up as a bad job a long time ago. I don't really have fandoms, so that approach doesn't really work.

     @Mendi_Tech I like it because I like the idea of doing everything in 1 program and just being able to tab and arow around, but do you know of any other good accessible readers? I heard Outlook included one, but I can't find it.

     @Mendi_Tech That's okay. I heard AO3 was going down for maintenance tonight. Maybe they'll work better when it comes back up. The only one that's not AO3 usually works fine.
