   The pushback against Trump-Musk coup already started, and their symbol is a spoon.

   I'm not American in any way at all (I'm a British person), but I've decided to also put spoons on my mastodon to show my support.

   In case anyone doesn't know: Musk is taking over large swathes of the US federal government, subverting the entire political order of the US;

   A far-right coup basically. MSNBC has been covering it, as have others.

   Show them your spoons. 🥄🥄🥄

     The sad thing is that as a conservative, I generally would support the idea of, you know, fiscal conservativism, reducing the size of the state. But in America's example there are these branches of government:

     * Congress
     * Senate
     * President

     Musk is ignoring the first two. It's a coup d'état. That, and their genocide plans against trans people means I support the Democrats. Because America doesn't have a conservative party at the moment, only a neo-nazi insurrectionist one and a liberal party.
