That was never my experience. Closest I can think would be putting on someone you think sounds sensual to try to get your partner in the mood, but even in the last 17 years of my monogamous marriage, that's a rare occurrence if it happened at all.
(This toot sounds a bit to declarative. I'm not trying to suggest "no, nobody does that." I am relating my experience, I doubt this is representative or anything.)
