@dissidentsoaps You know how political hacks make huge amounts of money by writing a ghost written book and selling millions of copies? I've always wondered if that was just a money-laundering scheme. Some shell company buys most of the copies and they get dumped in the trash somewhere. I know 37 subscriptions isn't much, but it fits the pattern of the scheme.

And, yes, most of those books don't sell and just get pulled and pulped a few months later

Elon Musk's team has found that the federal government paid Politico $8.1M last year. Including an $862k no-compete contract with the National Park Service and a $517k payment from the FDA for 37 subscriptions.
