   Cultivating the illusion that "the people" control the state encourages assholes to blame every person within a particular border for the existence of the state that persecutes and oppresses them. It sucks.

     Demos = the people

     Kratos = the state

     Democracy is not enough. If there is a state, there will always be some humans who don't count as "the people."
