   so after working with css for over 20 years, today i actually learned that "em" units are relative to the container they're in.

   how i never learned this along the way, is anyone's guess 😅

     @vga256 Close. em is relative to the *font size* of the parent element or the font-size of the nearest parent with a defined font size.
